Use a contribution from Všeobecná zdravotná poisťovňa (VšZP) of up to €50 toward borrowing a breathing monitor through the Peňaženka zdravia programme. The contribution can be claimed for borrowing a breathing monitor from an institutional healthcare provider.
Why use the contribution and borrow a breathing monitor?
A breathing monitor tracks a baby’s breathing movements and heart activity in the most critical weeks after birth. If breathing stops, it triggers an alarm and lets parents respond immediately. Thanks to the VšZP contribution, you can get a monitor much more affordably—without buying an expensive device.
Who can apply for the contribution?
A VšZP insured person – the application is submitted through Peňaženka zdravia. Uninsured parents can use the contribution after registering their child with VšZP. Insurance can also be arranged online.
Step by step: How to submit an application
1. Add your child insured with VšZP in the VšZP mobile app or in ePobočka to your account.
2. Open the contribution application in Peňaženka zdravia, either in the mobile app or in ePobočka.
3. You submit the application for your child.
4. Fill in the required fields, attach proof of payment for the breathing monitor, attach the loan agreement, and submit the application.
5. ATTENTION! You must submit the application within 60 days of the payment date.
6. The IČO in the application is always that of Nadácia Križovatka, i.e. 42132380 (even if you borrow the monitor at VšZP contractual facilities).
7. After your application is processed, you will receive a notification in the VšZP mobile app. VšZP will pay the contribution to the account you entered when submitting the application.
Where can you borrow a breathing monitor?
Breathing monitors are available at many rental locations across Slovakia, including hospitals and partner facilities of Nadácia Križovatka. Simply choose the nearest location and pick up the monitor conveniently.
